Pairs Terms of Use

These Terms of Use (hereinafter referred to as "the Terms") define the conditions for using the matching service "Pairs" (including any subsequent name changes or content modifications, hereinafter referred to as "the Service") provided by Cool Blade Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "the Company").

Users shall use the Service after fully understanding and agreeing to the contents of these Terms.

Article 1 (Application and Philosophy)

1. These Terms apply to all relationships between the User and the Company regarding the use of the Service.
2. The Service is a matching service for the purpose of sincere relationships and is not intended for users to continue searching for other partners after a relationship is established.
3. Users shall understand the purpose of the Service and use it with a sincere attitude.

Article 2 (User Registration)

1. Those wishing to use the Service shall agree to these Terms and perform registration via the method prescribed by the Company.
2. The Company may not approve registration if it determines any of the following applies:
   1. The registration content is false, erroneous, or incomplete.
   2. The user has had their registration revoked in the past due to violations.
   3. The Company otherwise deems the registration inappropriate.

Article 3 (Age Limit and ID Verification)

1. The Service is for single persons aged 18 and over. Persons under 18 cannot use the Service.
2. The Company requires the submission of a public ID with a photo (driver's license, My Number card, etc.) to verify the user is 18 years of age or older.
3. Users shall upload an image of the verification document. The Company will manually review and approve/reject it.
4. Users cannot use some or all features until ID verification is approved.
5. The Company does not guarantee the authenticity or validity of submitted documents.
6. If a user submits false information or is found to be under 18, the Company may suspend or delete the registration without notice.

Article 4 (Submission of Certificate of Marital Status)

1. Users may optionally submit a document proving their single status (Certificate of Marital Status) to the Company.
2. The Company may display a "Verified" badge on the profiles of users who have completed this verification.
3. The Company does not guarantee the truth of a user's marital status through this submission.

Article 5 (Restrictions After Relationship Establishment)

1. When users matched through the Service begin a relationship, they must promptly report it to the Company.
2. Upon such reporting, use of some or all features will be restricted during the relationship.
3. The specific content and scope of restrictions shall be determined separately by the Company.
4. This article aims to support sincere relationships and does not guarantee the success or continuation of the relationship.

Article 6 (Prohibited Acts)

Users must comply with these Terms and the Community Guidelines and shall not engage in the following acts:

1. Acts that violate laws or public order and morals.
2. Registering or displaying false information.
3. Use by persons under 18 or directing persons under 18 to the Service.
4. Falsely claiming to be single while being married.
5. Use for purposes other than serious romance or marriage.
6. Use solely for sexual acts or casual encounters.
7. Prostitution, transactional dating (Sugar Dating), or exchange of money/goods for encounters.
8. Soliciting sexual acts or encounters with minors.
9. Posting obscene or sexually explicit text, images, or audio.
10. Sending offensive sexual content without consent.
11. Slander, threats, harassment, or stalking of other users.
12. Disclosing other users' personal info or messages to third parties without consent.
13. Impersonation or allowing third parties to use one's account.
14. Fraud, investment scams (Romance Scams), or religious solicitation.
15. Advertising, recruiting, or use for purposes other than the Service's intent.
16. Directing users to external sites or social media for inappropriate purposes.
17. Providing benefits to or belonging to anti-social forces (organized crime).
18. Infringing on the rights, honor, or privacy of the Company or others.
19. Interfering with Service operations, unauthorized access, or overloading systems.
20. Any other acts the Company deems inappropriate.

Article 7 (Scope of Service Involvement)

1. The Company operates the Service within the scope of registration, ID verification, and matching features.
2. The Company is not involved in interactions that occur outside the Service or after an in-person meeting.

Article 8 (Paid Services)

1. The Service is free for the period specified by the Company; paid plans may be introduced in the future.
2. Details of paid plans, fees, and payment methods will be displayed on the Service separately.

Article 9 (Disclaimer)

1. The Company does not guarantee matching results or the success/continuation of relationships.
2. The Company is not responsible for disputes between users or with third parties.
3. The Company is not liable for damages unless due to intentional or gross negligence.

Article 10 (Suspension and Deletion)

The Company may suspend or delete a user's registration without notice if they violate these Terms.

Article 11 (Business Succession)

1. The Company may transfer its rights and duties under these Terms to a successor in the event of a business transfer or merger.
2. Users are deemed to have agreed to such succession in advance.

Article 12 (Modification of Terms)

The Company may modify these Terms as needed. Modified Terms take effect once displayed on the Service.

Article 13 (Governing Law and Jurisdiction)

These Terms are governed by Japanese law. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the court in the Company's location.
